It’s filled with so many nutrient-rich and energy-boosting foods that are amazing for our little ones. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve made these bowls recently which is why I had the share the recipe with you.

Summer Bircher Bowl Nutrient Breakdown:

In case you have forgotten or need a little New Year reminder chia seeds are an amazing source of omegas-3’s and are rich in calcium. Hemp seeds are also packed with omegas and are a great source of plant-based protein and iron. Oats are a great way to increase your little one's fibre and keep them fuller for longer, pumpkin seeds are rich in zinc which helps to keep those kindy bugs away and cinnamon is an amazing blood sugar stabilizing spice that is perfect to consume first thing in the morning.

 

Kids Summer Bircher Bowls

Serves 2/

Summer Bircher Bowl Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp of chia seeds

  • 1 tbsp of goji berries

  • 1 tbsp of hemp seeds

  • 1 tbsp of pumpkin seeds

  • 1/2 cup of rolled oats

  • 1 tbsp of diced dried mango

  • 1/2 tsp of cinnamon

  • 3/4 cup of calcium fortified soy milk

  • 2 dollops of dairy-free yogurt

Toppings

  • Fresh mango, berries, nectarines

  • Drizzle of maple syrup

Method

  1. Place all the ingredients in a bowl and mix well.

  2. Leave to soak for at least 15 minutes or for a few hours to get a creamier texture.

  3. Pour into bowls and top with fruit and maple
